Penthouse not porn

Australia’s ‘most infamous impresario’ and publisher of Penthouse Magazine, Damien Costas, has hit back at reports in the Sydney Morning Herald calling him a “pornographer” in reporting the forthcoming September speaking tour of UK politician Nigel “Mr Brexit” Farage.

“Private Eye in the UK and the SMH are wrong and clearly prefer not to present the facts as they are,” says Costas.  “Pornography is something that’s too obscene to be considered art – and there’s nothing obscene in Penthouse.  The magazine showcases beautiful nude-art photography shot by some of the best photographers on the planet and world-class editorial written by some of the best writers around.  The SMH and Private Eye journos that wrote this nonsense should do themselves a favour and pick up a copy of Penthouse, they might learn something about journalism rather than carrying on like two-bit gossip columnists.

“As for their so-called ‘investigative’ techniques regarding the phone number on our websites, it doesn’t take a genius to dial it and find that it’s the main 1300 number for our company.  That number is on all our websites,” Costas added.  “By the way, Joyfinder is not an escort agency, it’s a directory, just like the one on Penthouse.com.au and not dissimilar to the classified sections of any regular newspaper. I just digitised it and made it interactive.

“Regarding the Nigel Farage tour, like with the tour I promoted with Milo Yiannopoulos, I am a firm believer in free speech and am sick to death of the PC police and the SJWs running rampant in our society. I believe in people, in their rights and potential – and the anti-democratic agenda of the feral Left and the institutions they control (like the EU) need to be called out for the oppressive socialist shemozzles that they are. I am proud to be promoting Nigel Farage’s tour of Australia.  I encourage everyone to come along, you can buy tickets now at Nigellive.com.au”, concludes Damien.
