Make October 30 Dysrationalia Day

Andrew L. Urban.

Antisemitism envoy Jillian Segal’s report, released on Friday, October 30, 2026 calls it ‘progressive antisemitism’ and describes “Modern, progressive antisemitism as the most pervasive manifestation of antisemitism facing Australia today.”

Her report says “It serves to justify and legitimise antisemitism, providing it with intellectual and cultural credibility and, ultimately, making it fashionable. It does this by effectively laundering far-left antisemitism and Islamic extremism through a progressive lens, such as social justice and human rights, together with traditional antisemitic tropes, giving fundamentally extremist ideologies an apparently acceptable face.”

There goes the next dinner party in Wokeland, where Labor luvvies have now been called out, gasping in horror as they read how Segal recommends the replacement of the ABC and SBS ombudsmen with an external independent watchdog to oversee the public broadcasters. Might be hard to find, mind you … but there’s hope. After all, Segal herself is an Albanese blessed Labor appointee. (Good choice, perhaps inadvertently …)

Segal’s report also contains recommendations about the need to audit visa decisions and review how judges approach anti-Jewish discrimination as well as introducing ‘enforceable conditions’ for taxpayer-funded arts organisations and, a crucial recommendation, to terminate grants where artists are clearly promoting antisemitism.

Segal calls it ‘modern progressive antisemitism’ which brings to mind all those clever people in academia, the arts and institutions who have shown a propensity to assume that their intelligence proves their Jew hatred is justified.

The diagnosis for such a condition is dysrationalia, defined as the inability to think and behave rationally despite adequate intelligence. It is a concept in educational psychology and is not a clinical disorder such as a thought disorder. Dysrationalia can help explain why smart people fall for Ponzi schemes and other fraudulent encounters, as well as ‘progressive antisemitism’.

Let’s have Dysrationalia Day, a D Day to mark the beginning of an operation to liberate Australia, Western Europe and the entire West from the scourge of antisemitism, as D Day in 1944 aimed to liberate Western Europe from Nazi occupation.
